Sustainability of construction and demolition waste management

UNI-RECYCLING presents the sustainability of construction and demolition waste management.

  • Authorized platform for the collection of waste, including treatment, sorting, valorization, and disposal in accordance with environmental requirements and practices;
  • Uni Recycling's policy is to transition from waste to resources through efficient use and taking responsibility for the environment, as well as caring for the community;
  • Specially designed technological flows to ensure an integrated service throughout the entire process until valorization or disposal, including cost reduction, separation into inert and recyclable components, and material reuse (for example, mineral materials can be crushed and used as gravel);
  • A team of waste management specialists ready to provide support and take responsibility for preparing waste management documentation.

The valorization of construction and demolition waste is a priority considering:

  • Legislation in the field aims to achieve objectives of reducing the quantities of waste disposed of through landfilling, with Directive 98/2008 stipulating that recycling and valorization of waste from construction and demolition activities should reach a minimum level of 70% by 2020.
  • The necessity of using resources rationally and responsibly in accordance with the principles of sustainable development and circular economy.
  • It is essential to adhere to the waste management hierarchy.
